The Authenticity Program was born after Norma was 28 and confused because she had done everything her parents had said to do – teaching degree, husband, cars, house, etc. – yet she was miserable. She didn’t know what to do with herself because she didn’t know who she was, so she went on a quest of self-discovery. Little did she know it would take 30 years of studying human nature from personal, professional and spiritual perspectives, and reveal information that is valuable for many people.
What she discovered is that we all have three voices, an inner, outer and expressive voice. The inner voice is the quiet voice that speaks to you and you are the only one who can hear it. The outer voice is how others perceive you, like when you walk into a room of strangers and they make an immediate impression about who you are. Your expressive voice is who you have become in the world and how you live your life.
The foundation of the program is the Authenticity Grid and the Authenticity Assessment. The Authenticity Grid is a graphic representation of the nine dimensions of authenticity which Norma discovered in her research. The search to find her authentic self then became her life’s work. She shared her findings in a 20-city tour and learned that the way she came to understand herself is also how others see themselves too.
By taking the nine-question Authenticity Assessment and putting your scores on the Authenticity Grid, you learn your strengths and vulnerabilities in the nine dimensions of authenticity. The recommendation is that you ‘tweak’ one thing in your life within your lowest dimension to begin to transform your life. You will gain insight on what is holding you back and you will have a tool to coach yourself to move forward.
The Authenticity Program is offered in three ways: to Individuals, to Organizations and a Certification Program for those who want to teach or coach the concepts.
